SkyWatch No. 58

This first picture I took by a visit to Vegusdal, Sørlandet, some weeks ago.

The last one was taken tuesday this week, in the afternoon by Filtvedt brygge. A real windy and rainy day, also with light and thunder!

SkyWatch Friday No. 57

This afternoon we drove to catch up our grandson on the ferry. He is going to stay by us until Sunday. On the way home this sky was in the sight to the southeast. The weather has been changing a lot today. I had not brought my camera, so I urged my husband to take some shots with his telephone camera. The result was not bad?!

Happy SkyWatch everyone!

SkyWatch Friday no. 55.

An afternoon last week I suddenly got aware of this thick bluegrey carpet all over the sky to the south, making a great view of the smoke from the cellulose factory in our nabourhood. Of course I had to catch it with my camera. This one is zoomed a little.

Today the weathercasting announced we would get 14 mm rain during the afternoon. And I think we must have got it, in a few portions. This is the first one, which I catched through my window. Not very often it rains that much in one day here!
Happy skywatch everyone!

Congratulations to my little brother Helge, 60 years old yesterday!

His four sisters with husbands came from Tromsø in the North to Denmark in the South to celebrate our dear, nice, handsome little-/big-brother, Helge - in his home in Oslo.

His dear wife, Anne, had made this gorgious and welltasting cake as well as the whole menu (assisted by her husband of course).

Thank you Helge and Anne for a memorable evening!!!!

SkyWatch Friday No. 52

A windy summer day at Tofte, Hurum (south in Oslofjorden) yesterday, taken with my husbands mobile phone, as we were aout for a swimming trip. The place is about 5 minute's drive from our new house. The view is against Vestfold across the fjord. The second picture shows a closed factory of wood chemistry (?). Still one factory remaining, as you see from the last picture taken some days earlier from our veranda to the South, with my Samsung S730.

SkyWatch Friday No. 51.

The last 1 1/2 week we had the most beautiful summer weather. These two pictures are taken on Nesodden (outside Oslo) some days ago, about 10.30 p.m. from my mother-in-law's veranda - after a nice swimming trip in Solbukta . We really enjoy this weather, not many days a year of it. We struggle a bit with the heat, so we have to go swimming!

SkyWatch Friday No. 50

These pictures were taken on a boat trip from Nesodden to Oslo - on the Oslofjorden - last Tuesday. Beautiful summer day and a beautiful journey!

Sommerdag på Nesodden. Summer day on Nesodden.

We are relaxing in the house of my mother-in-law after the first step of our moving to a new house. To-day we have had a beautiful summer day.

Første innhøsting av gress denne sommeren. First grass harvest this summer.

Båtene har kommet på vannet på Fagerstrand. The boats have come out on the water again on Fagerstrand.

SkyWatch Friday no. 49.

Last Sunday my husband and I walked up to Snellingen Tourist Cabin (a small cabin behind the house on the picture). We did not know how far it was to walk, and it went up and upwards all the way. Quite hard for untrained folks like us. But the reward you can watch on the following pictures. Enjoy!

I dag leide Lunner Menighet stedet for å holde avskjedsgudstjeneste for sogneprest Astrid S. Morvik.

SkyWatch Friday No. 48

Last Saturday we had a nice trip to Hurum, south in the Oslofjorden - looking for a new home, to get nearer to our children and grandchildren. These pictures are taken at Filtvedt. It was a very beautiful day.

SkyWatch Friday no. 45.

This picture is taken from Davids Tower in The Old City of Jerusalem in february 2008. We look to the Mount of Olives, where Jesus was taken to heaven - while blessing his disiples. "And a cloud took him out of their sight". It is built a church (to the left of middle of the picture) on the place they think it happened. At least it was some place in the area. I think it is good to have a visual picture of it. And as christians we also expect Jesus to come back and set his feet on the Mount of Olives - as he has told us.
Happy Ascension Day!

SkyWatch Friday no. 44

These pictures I took last Saturday evening at sunset nearby Eidsfoss in Vestfold. The lake is Eikeren. We were on our way to visit our daughter, son-in-law and their children. A very calm and beautiful evening.
The second shot is taken with my sunglasses as a filter.

No livnar det i lundar. Now life is coming to the groves.

Today I joined the service in old Lunner church. The service was broadcasted on the radio. On my way home I god these nice sping shots in the fine weather.

Aviskritikk i Vårt Land av CD'en "Dancing Leaves"

Review in the newspaper "Vårt Land" of the CD "Dancing Leaves", recently released:

UNASSUMING AND CLEAR: Tim's Familitree is an acustic folk-pop-trio consisting of sound writer Håkon Audun, his wife Anne-Kjersti and the brother Ole Halvard. They step forward carefully, but know what they want, and it is easy to like them.
The 11 selfcomposed peaces is like balsam for both soul and body. A gentle vocal, violin, flute, contrabass, acustic guitar and mandolin breakes the silence. The thoughts go to other quiet mediators as Sufjan Stevens, Joni Mitchell and King's Of Convenience. It is minimalistic, but the texts are full of important words about a good life, and a God who wants all good for us. You seldom experience records giving such a beautiful, but at the same time thoroughly clear picture of the Christian faith as a part of life and eterinity.

And just in case some one has not heard it: It is my two eldest sons and my daughter-in-law!
On my post here on my blogg on the 19th of April you can listen to three videos from the releaseconcert (taken by me with my digital compact photocamera.)

Og her kan du høre noen av låtene på MySpace: And here you can listen to some of the sounds on MySpace:

36 års bryllupsdag i dag! 36 years anniversary today.

We have been a trip by car to Brandbu, and had a cup of coffee and cake on a Cafe there - just the two of us. And we found this nice Sunflower in a flower shop there. I also found a new brown cardigan. When we came back home I found a check for kr. 1.500,- as an acknowledgement present from Lillesand muncipality, where I worked for 13 years - my last position in my working life. I want to buy me a real nice summer jacket for the amount! And now the summer tyres are put on to the car. No more snowdriving for this season.

SkyWatch Friday no. 41

This bell tower belongs to the small chapel next to our appartement. Caugt the reflex of it in a waterpond, caused by the snowmelting some weeks ago.

Ice-flake on a slow stream near Stryken, and the water reflecting the sky. Typical sight in our neighbourhood theese days.

And the last one: a new monument on Cave Greco, Cyprus, taken on our last vacation. It's a marvellous view from that cliff over the Mediterranian. You see my bicycle as well.

Gratulerer med din 27-årsdag Benjamin! Happy birthday, Benjamin!

The last celebration in our home on Birkeland - 2 years ago, when he was 25 years. This year I did not have the opportunity to make him a birthdaycake, so I have to make a fuss over him here on my blog. He is a real Benjamin (the youngest of our children), "Son of happines" means his name. He was the biggest of his sisters and brothers by birth - and still is. No "Scrap cake" as they said in old days. And he is a real great guy - the pride of his mother. (He also!) Engaged and busy to serve the Lord in every way!

Release-consert for Tims Familytree's debutalbum Dancing Leaves.

Yesterday I joined the releaseconsert for Tim's Familytree's first album: Dancing Leaves.

The band consists of our two eldest sons and our daughter-in-law. The consert was held on Sub Church's scene in Oslo, called Sub Scene. It's what we in Norway call a "low threshold" congregation for young people, where our sons have participated for years.

The tapes are taken with my compact digital photo camera, Samsung S730. The quality of the film and the sound is not maximal. If want maximal sound, buy the CD. It is very good. Can be bought on:

http://nordicmission.net/ds_product_info.php?products_id=1135

"When you smile":

It was a very uplifting experience for me, and I love sharing some samples with you. The cover of the CD is decorated by 0ur eldest daughter. The CD costs Nkr. 150,-. They have also a T-shirt with their logo: a tege (in Norwegian), drawn by our daughter. This costs Nkr. 150,-.

"When I brushed against Leonard Cohen":

There are texts following all the sounds on the CD. Here is the text of the last one I will share with you:

"I love you Lord":

Through the weakness of my soul Beneath these passing flesh and bones I love you Lord.

Past the scars within my eyes Behind these self deceiving lies I love you Lord.

Please, I beg you on my knees To free me from this sin disease I carry, Lord.

Pain that run throughout my veins To haunt down everything that gains What I adore I love you Lord.

Jesus, take this piece of clay And Save it so that I one day May meet you Lord

The holiness I can't perform Create in me that I am formed Alike you Lord.

So when I leave this shell behind I'll lift my eyes to see you shine In Glory, Lord.

But while I'm stuck down here on earth I'll make sure that this dust and dirt shall serve the cause Of loving you, my Lord.

You - The King of all kings You - Beginning and End Messiah and Saviour

You - The Lord of All Lords The power behind it all Are we worth your endeavour.

Hear my guts howl Renew and refine me Lord Divide my spirit and soul With the power of your mighty sword.
